The Gift of Love

This upcoming holiday season it can be stressful. What with cooking special meals for family and friends, buying expensive or not so expensive gifts for those on your holiday gift list, cleaning the house, and giving and attending parties can be exhausting, to say the least. Well what if instead, we offered our time to feed the hungry at homeless centers, or maybe even donated some of our winter clothes to those who are desperately in need. How about we light a candle for all those who went before us or we donate a sum of money to our favorite charity. Maybe even visit a shut-in or someone in a nursing home, letting them know that they are remembered and loved or giving an extra special hug to someone who looks like they need it. The list could be endless when we move away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and think about giving a “Gift of Love”. Why not use this holiday season to practice giving a “Gift of Love”. This gift is something that will last a lifetime in the memories of those who are in the most need. St. Mother Teresa said: Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

In This Holiday Season, May You Give and Receive a Gift of Love From All Those You Meet!
